Jinbei Ferry Landing
The banks of the Shirinashi River were once upon a time famous as a site ablaze with autumn leaves. According to Settsu Meishozue Taisei (the Authoritative Guide to Places of Interest in Settsu Province), there was a tea stall founded at this site by a man named Jinbei. This establishment was called Hamagurigoya, and it featured a steady stream of guests who arrived to relish the delicacies of the famous corbicula and clams that were served here. The Jinbei Passenger Terminal continues to thrive in this day and age and ferries link Izuo 7-chome, Taisho-ku to Fukuzaki 1-chome, Minato-ku. Two ferries operate during the morning rush hour.
  • 13-32 Izuo 7-chome, Taisho-ku: From Taisho Station (subway/JR), take a city bus bound for Shin-Chitose (number 98, 98A, or 108) to Izuo 4-chome; walk west for 5 minutes
  • 3-50 Fukuzaki 1-chome, Minato-ku: From Bentencho Bus Terminal, take the number 106 city bus to Fukuzaki 1-chome; walk southeast for 5 minutes (12 minutes from Yunagi)
