Ochiaishimo Ferry Landing
At Ochiaishimo Ferry Landing, a ferry operates between Hirao 1-chome, Taisho-ku and Tsumori 2-chome, Nishinari-ku. This is an excellent vantage point from which to observe hundreds of black-headed gulls flying overhead from the end of October to the end of the following April each year.
  • 1-26 Hirao 1-chome, Taisho-ku: From Taisho Station (subway/JR), take a city bus bound for Tsurumachi 4-chome to Taisho Chuo Chugakko-mae; walk east for 12 minutes; alternatively, take the number 94 bus to Kobayashi-koen-mae and walk east for 3 minutes
  • 8-21 Tsumori 2-chome, Nishinari-ku: From Namba Bus Terminal, take the number 29 bus bound for Chikatetsu Suminoe to Tsumorijinja-mae; walk northwest for 8 minutes
